Pro TIP: Bermuda Grass is known to be one of the most popular types of grass used from lawns to sports fields. This type of grass is low maintenance and grows quite easily even in areas that are hot, dry, or both. While it will be easier to grow this low maintenance grass type in areas that are cooler during some parts of the year, they are actually known to be drought resistant. Bermuda grass is often referred to as an "Eco lawn” because of its ability to remain vibrant and green even in some of the most extreme heat. |

In order to maintain your Bermuda lawn looking flawless, make sure to water it once every three days during the summertime, preferably first thing in the morning. If you live in an area with all four seasons, not to worry as the winter snow will not affect your Bermuda grass negatively. This type of grass actually falls dormant during the winter months and will return again during the summer and spring.
One thing to watch out for is if your Bermuda grass begins seeding. This typically happens when the soil in your lawn is compacted and has not been aerated. Aeration is necessary for the care and maintenance of all lawns to allow necessary nutrients, air, and water to trickle down and permeate the roots of your grass. Regardless of the type of grass you have, you should keep tabs on how long ago it was that you last perforated your soil with small holes to allow for these three components to penetrate your lawn successfully. Doing this once every three to five years prevents soil compaction which is the cause of Bermuda grass seeding. |
